Finally, I turn to my favourite kueh talam, the top half white with coconut milk and the bototm half a dark green. The aroma of the pandan leaves hits my nose as I take deep, joyous breaths. An older lady standing next to me tells me that the kueh seller, Haji Noh, with his white cap and shirt and green sarong, is particularly proud of his kueh talam.
