- the flowerhorn cichlid, an ornamental aquarium fish that is a hybrid of various cichlid species, particularly Amphilophus labiatus (the red devil cichlid) and Amphilophus trimaculatum (the three spot cichlid), and which can grow to a size of around 50 - 60 cm. It has a distinctive, prominent forehead protuberance known as a nuchal hump, an asesthetic feature which is highly prized by many aquarium hobbyists in Singapore and Malaysia.
