  1. a Peranakan dish of yellow noodles stir-fried with prawns, pork, vegetables, garlic, shallots, chilli, tau cheo, and other ingredients in a prawn-based stock. It was likely derived from the Hokkien dish Hokkien mee.
  2. The finished Nyonya Mah Mee should be deliciously moist with the noodles fluffed up and succulent after soaking in the sauce and all its lovely flavours but still maintaining its springy textures.
