noun

  1. a genre of downtempo Mandarin EDM or house music, commonly enjoyed by YPs and heard at Thai discos (siam dius) and karaokes
  2. The typical zh’nged look can best be described as café racer meets fixie meets The Fast and The Furious circa 2001. Think lowered handlebars, cut frames, custom fairings, blindingly bright LED lights, and obnoxiously loud Bluetooth speakers often blasting a tacky Mandarin eurodance genre known as Manyao.

usage notes

While the name translates literally to ‘slow rock/sway’, it is not related to the slow rock genre, and is more of a type of house/techno/electronic music which evolved from EDM remixes of popular Mandopop songs.
