- a dish of yellow noodles in a spiced chicken soup (soto ayam), usually topped with hard-boiled eggs, fried shallots, shredded chicken, etc. The soup has a characteristic yellowish colour due to the use of turmeric as a key ingredient, and originates from Indonesian cuisine.
