definitions
noun
- rice coloured yellow with turmeric (or sometimes saffron) and cooked with coconut milk, pandan, lemongrass, and sometimes other spices
I went for the udang panggang combo. This consisted of two huge prawns topped with oodles of garlic and served with raw vegetables, vegetable curry and nasi kuning ... I found the prawns mediocre ... and was more enamoured of the yellow rice, that was so fragrant I couldn't stop eating it even though I was full.
