  1. a soup noodle dish typically made with thick rice noodles (chor bee hoon or eponymously laksa noodles), a spicy broth with coconut milk and a rempah of shallots, garlic, galangal, chilli, lemongrass, and other ingredients, proteins such as tau pok, fishballs, chicken, etc., and most importantly the laksa leaf (Persicaria odorata), which imparts a distinct flavour to the dish
  2. The dry laksa (S$22), on the other hand, was much tastier. The slippery fresh rice noodles (chor bee hoon) were slicked with a coconut-rich laksa sauce perfumed with dried shrimps and grassy laksa leaves.
