  1. a Malay dish of rice cooked with coconut milk and pandan, usually served with a sweet sambal, a mixture of fried ikan bilis and roasted peanuts, a hard-boiled or fried egg, and often some form of meat such as ayam goreng or ikan kuning. It is traditionally served wrapped in a banana leaf. It is the national dish of Malaysia.
